The GU7779, front to temple tip

What you get is a butterfly front, wide at the top and tapering down. It has a full rim all the way round each lens. Across the nose there is a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The frame material is plastic, per the supplier. An injected plastic frame is light and springy. It has acetate temples. The colour code is 72U, Guess's own name for this finish.

How it fits

Written on the inside of the temple as 57-15-135, those are the lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. A 57 mm lens puts it in the large range for sunglasses, so check it against a pair you already own. The pair leaves the supplier exactly as packed by the maker, so a small fit adjustment, if needed, is an optician's job.

Lens colour and finish

The lenses are burgundy gradient. A coloured tint like this is chosen for its look as much as for shade. A gradient tint, darker at the top than at the bottom. Nothing in the supplier's data says these lenses are polarized or gives a UV rating, so we say neither.
