The GU00195, front to temple tip
In the photos the Guess GU00195 is a cat-eye front that lifts at the outer corners. There is a full rim all the way round each lens. Across the nose there is a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The feed gives the material as acetate. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. Acetate temples with a metal plaque at the hinge complete the frame. The colour code is 44Z, Guess's own name for this finish.
The numbers on the temple
The size is 52-17-140: lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. A 52 mm lens puts it in the medium range for sunglasses, so check it against a pair you already own. Nobody bends the temples or nose rest before shipping; an optician can do that in a few minutes if the fit is off.
What the lens does
The lenses are violet gradient. A coloured tint like this is chosen for its look as much as for shade. A gradient tint, darker at the top than at the bottom. We make no polarization or UV claim for these lenses: the supplier's data does not include one.
Other colours of the GU00195
We also carry the GU00195 as 39P (Shiny Yellow with green gradient lenses), the same frame in other finishes.
