The GM00025, front to temple tip

In the photos the Guess by Marciano GM00025 is a cat-eye front that lifts at the outer corners. It has a full rim all the way round each lens. Across the nose there is a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The frame material is acetate, per the supplier. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. The frame is finished with acetate temples with a metal plaque at the hinge. Guess by Marciano files this colourway as code 21F.

The numbers on the temple

The size is 53-21-140: lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. At 53 mm across the lens this is a medium frame. Nobody bends the temples or nose rest before shipping; an optician can do that in a few minutes if the fit is off.

Through the lens

Lens colour: brown gradient. A brown tint warms the view slightly and sharpens contrast. A gradient tint, darker at the top than at the bottom. No polarization or UV figure comes with this pair from the supplier, and we do not add one.
