GG1860S: shape and build

The photos show a rectangular front, wider than it is tall. The lens is held by a full rim all the way round each lens. The frame sits on a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The frame material is acetate, per the supplier. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. Wide acetate temples complete the frame. The branding runs along the outside of the temple. Its signature is the blue and red striped temples with gold lettering. The colour code is 004, Gucci's own name for this finish.

Reading the size

It measures 52-20-135, which is the lens width, then the bridge, then the temple length, all in millimetres. The lens width of 52 mm is medium for a sunglasses frame. It ships unadjusted, straight from the box; a quick visit to an optician sorts any fit issue.

Lens colour and finish

Lens colour: dark violet. A coloured tint like this is chosen for its look as much as for shade. An even, flat tint. We make no polarization or UV claim for these lenses: the supplier's data does not include one.

Same frame, other colourways

The GG1860S is also listed here as 002 (Havana/Blue/Red with burgundy lenses) and 003 (Burgundy/Blue/Red with grey lenses). Shape and size are the same; only the finish changes.

From the supplier's shelf to your door

You get a new pair in Gucci's own box, with whatever case and cloth the brand supplies. Free shipping to any US address: the supplier packs it within one to two business days and you get the tracking number by email. If it is not right, send it back unworn within 30 days for a refund less the return label we provide; a defect, a wrong item or damage in transit is returned free when reported within 7 days.
