The GG1844SA, front to temple tip
In the photos the Gucci GG1844SA is a cat-eye front that lifts at the outer corners. It has a full rim all the way round each lens. Across the nose there is a saddle bridge that spreads the weight across the nose, and the nose rest is part of the frame. Our supplier lists the frame as acetate. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. Acetate temples with a metal plaque at the hinge complete the frame. Colour 003 is how Gucci labels this version.
