A sharp cat-eye in tortoise
The GG1842S takes the cat-eye and straightens its lines. The brow is flat and rises to a point at each outer corner, the lower edge of each rim runs almost straight, and the rim cuts across the lower outer corner of the lens, so each lens is a five-sided shape rather than an oval. The acetate is a dark havana tortoise: mostly deep brown, with amber and honey flecks that show most on the temples. The Gucci name is lettered small in the upper corner of the left lens.
The oversized GG on the temple
What sets this model apart is the temple. Each one is as deep as the front where it meets the hinge, and a large interlocking GG in polished silver metal sits on it, big enough to read from across a room.
