What the GG1827S is
Seen front on, this is a cat-eye front that lifts at the outer corners. It has a full rim all the way round each lens. The frame sits on a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The feed gives the material as recycled acetate. Recycled acetate is the same sheet-cut material as standard acetate, made with recycled content; it holds colour well and an optician can adjust it with heat. It has acetate temples with a metal plaque at the hinge. The branding runs along the outside of the temple. Look for the gold interlocking logo on temple. Colour 002 is how Gucci labels this version.
Size and fit
Written on the inside of the temple as 49-22-145, those are the lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. A 49 mm lens puts it in the small range for sunglasses, so check it against a pair you already own. The pair leaves the supplier exactly as packed by the maker, so a small fit adjustment, if needed, is an optician's job.
Through the lens
The lenses are brown. A brown tint warms the view slightly and sharpens contrast. An even, flat tint. We make no polarization or UV claim for these lenses: the supplier's data does not include one.
