The GG1779S, front to temple tip
Seen front on, this is a cat-eye front that lifts at the outer corners. It has a full rim all the way round each lens. Across the nose there is a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The frame material is acetate, per the supplier. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. It has acetate temples. Gucci files this colourway as code 002.
Size and fit
Written on the inside of the temple as 51-17-145, those are the lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres.
