What the GG1772S is
The photos show a rectangular front, wider than it is tall. There is a full rim all the way round each lens. It rests on a saddle bridge that spreads the weight across the nose, and the nose rest is part of the frame. Our supplier lists the frame as recycled acetate. Recycled acetate is the same sheet-cut material as standard acetate, made with recycled content; it holds colour well and an optician can adjust it with heat. It has wide acetate temples. The branding runs along the outside of the temple. The detail that stands out is the large gold cut-out logo on temples. The colour code is 001, Gucci's own name for this finish.
Reading the size
Written on the inside of the temple as 52-20-140, those are the lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. The lens width of 52 mm is medium for a sunglasses frame. No one adjusts the fit before it ships; an optician can tweak the nose and temple bend in minutes.
What the lens does
Lens colour: grey. Grey is the neutral tint: it dims light evenly without shifting colours. An even, flat tint. Polarization and UV rating are not in the supplier's data for this pair, so neither is claimed here.
If Black is not your colour
Other versions of the GG1772S on GlareBear: 003 (Burgundy with brown lenses). The fit does not change between them.
In the box, and getting it to you
You get a new pair in Gucci's own box, with whatever case and cloth the brand supplies. Our supplier packs and ships on business days, usually within one to two, free to any US address, and you get tracking by email. Change your mind within 30 days and send it back unworn in its box; the return label we email is deducted from the refund. A defect, wrong item or damage on the way is returned free if reported within 7 days.
