The GG1771S, front to temple tip

The photos show a rectangular front, wider than it is tall. There is a full rim all the way round each lens. It rests on a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The feed gives the material as recycled acetate. Recycled acetate is the same sheet-cut material as standard acetate, made with recycled content; it holds colour well and an optician can adjust it with heat. The frame is finished with acetate temples with a metal plaque at the hinge. The branding runs along the outside of the temple. Look for the large gold logo lettering on temple. Colour 007 is how Gucci labels this version.

The numbers on the temple

Written on the inside of the temple as 51-16-140, those are the lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. A 51 mm lens puts it in the medium range for sunglasses, so check it against a pair you already own. Nobody bends the temples or nose rest before shipping; an optician can do that in a few minutes if the fit is off.

Lens colour and finish

Lens colour: brown. A brown tint warms the view slightly and sharpens contrast. An even, flat tint. The supplier's data carries no polarization or UV rating for this pair, so we claim none.
