A closer look at the GG1240S
Seen front on, this is a butterfly front, wide at the top and tapering down. It has a full rim all the way round each lens. The frame sits on a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. Our supplier lists the frame as acetate. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. Acetate temples complete the frame. The branding sits on the lens. Look for the white edge line detailing. Gucci files this colourway as code 001.
