A closer look at the FOS3156/G/S
In the photos the Fossil FOS3156/G/S is an oversized square front that covers a lot of face. It has a full rim all the way round each lens. The frame sits on a plain single bridge, with adjustable nose pads. The feed gives the material as metal. A metal front is thinner and lighter on the face than acetate. Metal temples with acetate tips complete the frame. The branding runs along the outside of the temple. Its signature is the tortoise temple tips. Fossil files this colourway as code 0AU2HA.
Size and fit
It measures 59-17-145, which is the lens width, then the bridge, then the temple length, all in millimetres. The lens width of 59 mm is extra large for a sunglasses frame. Nobody bends the temples or nose rest before shipping; an optician can do that in a few minutes if the fit is off.
What the lens does
Brown gradient lenses are fitted. A brown tint warms the view slightly and sharpens contrast. A gradient tint, darker at the top than at the bottom. We make no polarization or UV claim for these lenses: the supplier's data does not include one.
