ETRO0026/S: shape and build

Seen front on, this is a geometric front with angled edges. There is a full rim all the way round each lens. Across the nose there is a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The feed gives the material as acetate. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. The frame is finished with mixed metal and acetate temples. The branding sits on the lens. The detail that stands out is the gold pegasus emblem at temple hinge. The colour code is 079U70, Etro's own name for this finish.

How it fits

The size is 54-23-140: lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. At 54 mm across the lens this is a medium frame. The pair leaves the supplier exactly as packed by the maker, so a small fit adjustment, if needed, is an optician's job.

The brown lenses

Brown lenses are fitted. A brown tint warms the view slightly and sharpens contrast. An even, flat tint. We make no polarization or UV claim for these lenses: the supplier's data does not include one.
