DIORNUITS1I: shape and build

In the photos the Dior DIORNUITS1I is a cat-eye front that lifts at the outer corners. There is a full rim all the way round each lens. It rests on a saddle bridge that spreads the weight across the nose, and the nose rest is part of the frame. Our supplier lists the frame as acetate. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. It has wide acetate temples. The branding runs along the outside of the temple. Look for the wide temples with christian dior branding. Colour 24F0 is how Dior labels this version.

Size and fit

Written on the inside of the temple as 54-18-135, those are the lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. The lens width of 54 mm is medium for a sunglasses frame. No one adjusts the fit before it ships; an optician can tweak the nose and temple bend in minutes.

Through the lens

Lens colour: brown gradient. A brown tint warms the view slightly and sharpens contrast. A gradient tint, darker at the top than at the bottom. No polarization or UV figure comes with this pair from the supplier, and we do not add one.
