CL40301U: shape and build
In the photos the Celine CL40301U is the teardrop pilot lens that drops below the brow line. It has a full rim all the way round each lens. The frame sits on a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The frame material is acetate, per the supplier. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. Acetate temples complete the frame. The branding runs along the outside of the temple. Look for the removable side shields and bridge cover. Celine files this colourway as code 01C.
