The CARRERA329/S at a glance

The photos show a square front with a flat brow and squared corners. There is a full rim all the way round each lens. Across the nose there is a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The feed gives the material as acetate. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. Written on the inside of the temple as 58-18-145, those are the lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. The lens width of 58 mm is large for a sunglasses frame. No one adjusts the fit before it ships; an optician can tweak the nose and temple bend in minutes.

Through the lens

Dark grey gradient lenses are fitted. Grey is the neutral tint: it dims light evenly without shifting colours. A gradient tint, darker at the top than at the bottom. The supplier's data carries no polarization or UV rating for this pair, so we claim none.
