CARRERA3017/S: shape and build
The photos show a cat-eye front that lifts at the outer corners. There is a full rim all the way round each lens. The frame sits on a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The feed gives the material as acetate. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. It has acetate temples with a metal plaque at the hinge. The colour code is 01EDHA, Carrera's own name for this finish.
Reading the size
Written on the inside of the temple as 55-19-140, those are the lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. At 55 mm across the lens this is a large frame. Nobody bends the temples or nose rest before shipping; an optician can do that in a few minutes if the fit is off.
The brown gradient lenses
