A double-bridge pilot in gold
The 3005/S is Carrera's take on the classic pilot: two teardrop lenses in a full gold metal rim, joined by a bridge with a second straight bar running above it. The nose pads sit on thin wire arms, so they can be nudged in or out for a better fit, and the temples are slim gold wires that end in tortoise-pattern tips behind the ear. The Carrera name is printed small in the upper outer corner of the right lens, with the word polarized beneath it.
Brown gradient lenses, and polarized
The lenses are brown and graded: darkest along the top edge, where they meet the brow bar, and lighter toward the bottom. That is the usual pilot arrangement, dark against the sky and clearer when you glance down. The supplier lists the lenses as brown gradient polarized, and the lens itself carries the polarized mark. A polarized lens cuts the flat glare that bounces off water, a wet road or a car hood, which is why the 3005/S suits driving and the beach as well as the street.
