The frame sits on a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. Our supplier's data says acetate for the frame, while the photos read as injected plastic. The frame is finished with acetate temples. The branding sits on the lens. Look for the blue inner temple accents. The colour code is 0D51Z0, Carrera's own name for this finish.

The numbers on the temple

The size is 54-14-135: lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. A 54 mm lens puts it in the medium range for sunglasses, so check it against a pair you already own. Nobody bends the temples or nose rest before shipping; an optician can do that in a few minutes if the fit is off.

Through the lens

Blue multilayer mirror lenses are fitted. A blue tint gives the view a cooler cast. A mirror coating that hides the eyes and throws glare back. Nothing in the supplier's data says these lenses are polarized or gives a UV rating, so we say neither.
