A narrow rectangle with a straight brow
The BE4443 is the slim one in Burberry's acetate line: a rectangle wider than it is tall, with a brow that runs dead straight from one end-piece to the other and lenses that sit low and shallow under it. The acetate is thick and glossy black, and the front has real depth at the corners, so the frame has presence from the side even though the lens opening is small. The bridge is a solid block of acetate, flat on top, with no keyhole. It is a retro, low-profile shape that sits close to the face rather than covering it.
Gold at the temples
The only colour on the frame is gold. A small gold metal plaque sits on the outside of each temple right behind the hinge, and BURBERRY is lettered in gold capitals next to it along the temple. There is no check pattern, no stripe and no logo on the front; from straight on the frame is all black.
