What the BE4432U is

The photos show a cat-eye front that lifts at the outer corners. It has a full rim all the way round each lens. Across the nose there is a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. Our supplier lists the frame as acetate. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. It has wide acetate temples. Colour 412287 is how Burberry labels this version.

Reading the size

The size is 54-19-140: lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. The lens width of 54 mm is medium for a sunglasses frame. If the fit needs a tweak once it arrives, any optician can adjust it; pairs ship exactly as the maker packed them.

Through the lens

Lens colour: dark grey. Grey is the neutral tint: it dims light evenly without shifting colours. Nothing in the supplier's data says these lenses are polarized or gives a UV rating, so we say neither.
