The BS0015, front to temple tip
Seen front on, this is a square front with a flat brow and squared corners. It has a full rim all the way round each lens. The frame sits on a saddle bridge that spreads the weight across the nose, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The frame material is plastic, per the supplier. An injected plastic frame is light and springy. It has acetate temples. Colour 02D is how BMW labels this version.
Reading the size
The size is 57-17-145: lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. At 57 mm across the lens this is a large frame. It ships unadjusted, straight from the box; a quick visit to an optician sorts any fit issue.
What the lens does
Lens colour: smoke polarized. Grey is the neutral tint: it dims light evenly without shifting colours. The supplier lists these lenses as polarized, which cuts the glare that bounces off water, road and glass.
From the supplier's shelf to your door
It arrives as BMW packed it: new, in the brand's box, with the case and cloth the brand puts in. US shipping is free. The order goes to our supplier on the next business day, leaves within a day or two, and the tracking number lands in your inbox. You have 30 days from delivery to return it unworn in its packaging for a refund less our return label; a defect, the wrong pair or transit damage goes back free within 7 days.
