What the BB0228S is
What you get is a curved wraparound front that follows the face. The lens is held by a full rim all the way round each lens. It rests on a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The frame material is acetate, per the supplier. Acetate is the plant-based plastic that most designer frames are cut and polished from sheet; it holds deep colour and an optician can re-adjust it with heat. The frame is finished with wide acetate temples. Balenciaga files this colourway as code 004.
The numbers on the temple
Written on the inside of the temple as 64-20-120, those are the lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. A 64 mm lens puts it in the extra large range for sunglasses, so check it against a pair you already own.
