What the AM0445S is

What you get is an oval lens, softer than a round one. The lens is held by a full rim all the way round each lens. Across the nose there is a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. The feed gives the material as acetate, though in the photos the front looks like a mix of metal and acetate. The frame is finished with wide acetate temples. The branding runs along the outside of the temple. Its signature is the silver metal trim on outer rim edges. Colour 002 is how Alexander McQueen labels this version.

Size and fit

The size is 51-23-140: lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. At 51 mm across the lens this is a medium frame. The pair leaves the supplier exactly as packed by the maker, so a small fit adjustment, if needed, is an optician's job.

Through the lens

The lenses are brown. A brown tint warms the view slightly and sharpens contrast. An even, flat tint. We make no polarization or UV claim for these lenses: the supplier's data does not include one.
