SP0048: shape and build
In the photos the Adidas SP0048 is a rectangular front, wider than it is tall. It has a rim along the top only, with the lower edge of the lens left open. It rests on a plain single bridge, with adjustable nose pads. The frame material is plastic, per the supplier. An injected plastic frame is light and springy. The branding runs along the outside of the temple. Its signature is the ventilation slots along top brow bar. Colour 91X is how Adidas labels this version.
How it fits
Written on the inside of the temple as 57-18-135, those are the lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. The lens width of 57 mm is large for a sunglasses frame. If the fit needs a tweak once it arrives, any optician can adjust it; pairs ship exactly as the maker packed them.
Lens colour and finish
Blue mirror lenses are fitted. A blue tint gives the view a cooler cast. A mirror coating that hides the eyes and throws glare back. Nothing in the supplier's data says these lenses are polarized or gives a UV rating, so we say neither.
