A closer look at the OR0079

Seen front on, this is a square front with a flat brow and squared corners. There is a full rim all the way round each lens. Across the nose there is a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. Our supplier lists the frame as plastic. An injected plastic frame is light and springy. The branding runs along the outside of the temple. The detail that stands out is the orange logo plaque and inner temple accents. Adidas files this colourway as code 91L.

Size and fit

Written on the inside of the temple as 51-20-145, those are the lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. At 51 mm across the lens this is a medium frame. Nobody bends the temples or nose rest before shipping; an optician can do that in a few minutes if the fit is off.

The roviex mirror lenses

Lens colour: roviex mirror. A brown tint warms the view slightly and sharpens contrast. A mirror coating that hides the eyes and throws glare back. A gradient tint, darker at the top than at the bottom. Nothing in the supplier's data says these lenses are polarized or gives a UV rating, so we say neither.
