OR0020: shape and build

Seen front on, this is a butterfly front, wide at the top and tapering down. The lens is held by a full rim all the way round each lens. It rests on a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. Our supplier lists the frame as plastic. An injected plastic frame is light and springy. It has acetate temples. Colour 81U is how Adidas labels this version.

The numbers on the temple

It measures 56-16-130, which is the lens width, then the bridge, then the temple length, all in millimetres. At 56 mm across the lens this is a large frame. It ships unadjusted, straight from the box; a quick visit to an optician sorts any fit issue.

What the lens does

The lenses are bordeaux mirror. A mirror coating that hides the eyes and throws glare back. Nothing in the supplier's data says these lenses are polarized or gives a UV rating, so we say neither.
