A closer look at the OR0010

What you get is a cat-eye front that lifts at the outer corners. The lens is held by a full rim all the way round each lens. The frame sits on a plain single bridge, and the nose rest is part of the frame. Our supplier lists the frame as plastic. An injected plastic frame is light and springy. The frame is finished with acetate temples with a metal plaque at the hinge. Adidas files this colourway as code 01A.

Reading the size

Written on the inside of the temple as 54-16-135, those are the lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. The lens width of 54 mm is medium for a sunglasses frame. Frames ship as the maker boxed them, without adjustment, and a local optician can fine-tune the fit.

Through the lens

The lenses are smoke. Grey is the neutral tint: it dims light evenly without shifting colours. Nothing in the supplier's data says these lenses are polarized or gives a UV rating, so we say neither.
