Persol
Persol was founded in Turin in 1917 by optician and photographer Giuseppe Ratti, first making eyewear for pilots and racing drivers; the brand has belonged to Luxottica, now EssilorLuxottica, since 1995. Sunglasses carry a PO model number.
A small Persol selection at GlareBear: acetate styles for men and unisex wear in the upper price band, including the PO0649 and the PO3310. Each pair is new in Persol packaging and ships free within the US.
Persol numbers read PO, four digits and an S for sun styles, then a colour code; many models also exist as optical frames with the same number. The pages show frame and lens colours, millimetre sizes and the UPC.
